Job Description

As a specialist attorney in banking and capital markets law, Thomas Kritter specializes in particular in the law governing loans and loan collateral. A key focus of his practice is advising clients and, where necessary, representing them in litigation regarding the domestic and cross-border enforcement of loan claims and collateral. He has many years of practical experience in cross-border legal matters, particularly within the EU, with Switzerland, the United States, and Canada. Another focus of his practice is providing legal and practical support in domestic and cross-border inheritance matters, such as estates located abroad or cases involving heirs residing abroad.

Thomas Kritter has also been advising and representing leading companies in the wood-based materials industry for many years in matters of contract law as well as in litigation and arbitration proceedings. His advisory work focuses on providing legal support for the procurement of individual production machines and lines, as well as entire production facilities for the manufacture of OSB, particleboard, or MDF/HDF panels. In his experience, the key to a successful procurement process and project execution lies in bringing together technical, commercial, and legal expertise within a single integrated team right from the start of the project, and ensuring their ongoing close coordination and alignment through the use of state-of-the-art information technologies.
